Some agricultural and other large accounts qualify for special rates when they supply their own power during an Agralite control event. When members with backup generating systems allow us to control their electrical use at peak times, and use their generators to supply their own power needs, they are eligible for special rates.
The generator and transfer switch must be automatic so that when a control event occurs, the generator will start automatically and transfer the load to the generator.
